Jamie Carpenter (Coach Popeye)
Jamie Carpenter, affectionately known as Coach Popeye, is the Founder and President and of KC Rebels Youth. A Kansas City native and proud graduate of Center School District, Jamie excelled as a student-athlete in football, swimming, and track. He earned a Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Central Missouri and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Jamie’s passion for football led him to play semi-pro for teams like the Sugar Creek Shockers and Kansas City Panthers, and later as an All-Star with the Farley Braves 8-man outdoor team. His coaching journey began in 2011 with I9 Sports, followed by roles in Blue Springs and with Giants football and basketball. Jamie’s dedication to youth sports and leadership continues to inspire the KC Rebels community.

LeCreasha Grigsby (Coach C)
I am a 2nd year coach to our Rebel 8u athletes. I believe in the power of positive habits to transform the youth ; through personalized coaching with the goal in mind to guide young athletes on the journey to establish routines that foster success, happiness, and well-being. My coaching enhances confidence, communication skills, and leadership qualities that resonate across all levels.

Chassity Hurd (Coach Chass)
Chassity is a cosmetologist and personal trainer born and raised in Kansas City, Mo. She graduated from Hogan Prep Academy where she played volleyball as well as ran track. She coaches the elementary and middle school girl's relay team.

Chazmin Holland (Coach Chaz)
I am the Throwing Coach for the KC Rebels and have been since 2016. I also coach for Ewing Marion Kauffman School since 2023. My emphasis is coaching the 6 and under youth on the basic fundamentals of throwing and discipline in the sport.

Artis Grigsby (Coach Aj)
I started playing football at 8 years old with the KC Thunder that where I got my passion for football and became a coach. I started coaching with the rebels back in 2015 coaching 12u and been here since then. I’m an old coach and player so I love smash mouth football. As a coach I’m here to turn our boys into young strong man. I will be hard on them because I want to see the best out of them. I want our players to understand that when it comes to playing any sport academics comes first.

Ariel Anthony (Coach A)
I have been coaching basketball, track and field (throwers coach) and team mom for the KC Rebels since 2017. I also teach and coach for Ewing Marion Kauffman School since 2024. I work with all ages. My goal is to help shape and mold them into great student athletes so that they are prepared for the next level in life.

I am coach for the Kansas City Rebels football team. Football is a sport that I love to play, watch, and coach.

Ebonye Buckner (Team Mom)
I am a team mom for the Rebels. My son and I have been a part of the Rebels family for about 7-8 years. We participated in football, basketball, and track non-stop from 1st grade until he aged out after 8th grade. KC Rebels provides an outlet for our youth! We provide a safe space for an athlete to truly be themselves and shine. KC Rebels are more than sports we are family!

De'Kaya McDaniel (Team Mom)
I am the team mom of 11/12u for KC Rebels football team. I am a mother of 2. In my free time i like to watch NFL games and I am a KC Chiefs fan! As a team mom, I cheer my team on during games, motivate and encourage them to continue being the best team that they can be.

Erika Brownlee (Team Mom)
I’m a team mom of the KC Rebels, where my daughter has flourished in basketball and track since 2018. As part of this community, I've had the privilege of witnessing how KC Rebels cultivates growth, unity, and sportsmanship, thereby empowering young athletes to realize their full potential.

Kendra (Kenn) Rodgers (Team Mom)
I’m the team mom for our flag boys ages 4/5 and 6/7. You’ll often see me running down the sideline when our boys make a play or in the huddles talking trash with the boys to hype them up. I’m big on family and the Rebels have definitely become family. Practices and games we come together as a unit to make sure these boys reach their full potential on and off the field.

Ciera Jackson (Team Mom)
I am one of the team moms for the KC Rebels track and football teams. My boys and I have been apart of the team for about 5/6 years and we absolutely LOVE IT.
